Ira E. Goldfield, CLU, ChFC received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Florida in 1964 and served his country for 6 years in the United States Naval Air Reserves.
Mr. Goldfield began his insurance career with Lincoln National Corporation when, in 1966, he joined The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company as Regional Group Claim & Service Manager in Washington, D.C., a position he held until 1974 when he transitioned into the role of Regional Group & Pension Sales Manager before transferring to the company’s Jacksonville Florida office in the same position in 1975.
In 1982, Ira resigned his position to begin a long career with Lincoln Financial Advisors, an affiliate of Lincoln National Corporation, as an agent advising his individual and corporate clients in the fields of life & health insurance, retirement, financial and estate planning. In March 2015, Ira transitioned back to representing The Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. and eliminating advice on financial planning; mutual funds, variable annuities, variable life and other securities based products. Insurance is also offered through Lincoln affiliates and other fine companies.
In 1981 he was awarded the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA and later received the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from them in 1988.
Professionally, Mr. Goldfield has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors since 1976 and the National Association of Health Underwriters since 1999.
Personally, Ira continues to live in Jacksonville Florida with Marilynn, his wife of 52 years. They have two adult children and five grandchildren.
